The location of the hotel is great (10 mins walk from station or 3 mins by tram), Hotel is situated right in the heart of amsterdam next to Dam Square. Its in such a central location and easy access to everything be it walking distance to most or hop on the tram. On arrival we were greeted to a complimentary drink and given a free room upgrade as the hotel at that time of the year (end of Jan) was not overly busy. Our room had a balconey that overlooked part of the canal which was really nice, it also gave us that little extra space as the rooms although nice were quite cramped and small. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Going back to Amsterdam soon and already booked the same hotel up.
Relatively expensive and a tiny room, but overall, not bad!

I don't know how much hotel rooms normally go for in Amsterdam for November weekends, but at £72 per night, this was the least good value for money of the three hotels I stayed at on this trip, which had included Paris and Bruges earlier on in the week. The room was tiny - just enough room for a bed and a wardrobe (with a safe) and for the door to open inwards, with a 14" TV suspended over the foot of the bed and a fridge perched on a shelf above it, combined with a sliver of a wet room, wide enough to allow one person to move from shower to toliet and out again. On a cost per square foot basis, it was poor value compared to my Bruges and Paris hotels, but like I say, this could be the norm for the Dam and I wouldn't know. Onto the good stuff though - the service and the friendliness of the staff was excellent. I'd been warned that the steps from the entrance were steep - and they were! Having walked down from the Centraal Station in about ten minutes, the prospect of humping my bag up those vertiginous steps was awful - but I was rescued - the voice of Tess from the reception level on the first floor saved me - they had a system that carried your bag to your room while you calmed yourself in the breakfast room. That was wonderful. The bed was narrow and I needed a second pillow to make it a comfortable night - there was little room to stretch out. Downside - the walls were very thin, it would seem. I had the TV on very quietly but still got the ominous knocking from next door each of the three nights I stayed there. The breakfast was a little spartan - no cereals, just toast and croissants, juice, tea and coffee and mini-yoghurts. But overall, this was a decent spot to stay in the Dam - perhaps not the best value though.

Friendly staff, great location ( 5 mins from dam square and anne frank house). In the room was a TV, a safe and a fridge which were all handy. Room was very clean. Worth checking out their hotel website as has good links and info on Amsterdam. Hotel is on the same street as Sara's Pancake house which is my favourite restaurant in amsterdam.

The Nadia is Amazing. My boyfriend and I stayed there for about five days and we really enjoyed our time there. The rooms are tiny but they are more like studio apartments then hotel rooms so it gives you a really neat feeling of actually living in the city. Also every morning they serve an all you can eat traditional Dutch breakfast in the breakfast room which also has a cool vintage ambiance and overlooks the main street and canal right next door. I cant wait to stay there again.
very small but it was clean :)

This was my favorite place to stay. I would definatley return here. They go over and above what you would expect from not only a 2 or 3 star hotel- I was treated like i was the most important person staying within the hotel. Your are greeted with flowers in your room, offered endless drinks, brekkie is great and soo central to Dam Square and redlight district . I walked everywhere from here. it was great.
Single rooms are small but in Amsterdam thats all you need is somewhere to lye your head and very comfortable beds too. I cant praise this place enough. I was travelling alone and first time to Amsterdam.
