The Youth Station Hostel

Everyone I met in the hostel was welcoming, and the staff were incredibly solicitous and concerned for traveller's welfare. As a first-time traveller by myself, I wasn't sure what to expect but the hostel staff instantly put me at ease. The facilities were great - small kitchen with microwave, kettle and fridge meant money saved on eating out, and the place was clean and air-conditioned. The internet was also great value. I'd definitely go back!

This is a really average hostel. I wouldn't stay here if I was travelling by myself as my group and I never experienced a chance to socialize with others. Facilities are fine and there is a small kitchen, which is handy as there are no meals served. Supermarket nearby is good and reasonably priced. 24 hour reception is handy, but the man on night shift sleeps on a mattress on the floor so you have to really try to wake him! Location is fine once you know what you are doing on the metro. At £18 a night, one can't really argue with what the hostel has to offer, but it could be better!

Internet for free

They provided free internet and computers! The staff were very helpful in assisting me. Drinks (eg water) and snack food was also very cheap, as well as its located right near a food supermarket. I was in Rome staying in a contiki hotel and we couldnt find a supermarket ANYWHERE which was annoying. They also promoted pub crawls for every night of the week! I had been in rome for 3 days before i stayed at this hostel, and we went looking every night for the good places to go out and found nothing. So that was helpful, and very fun :) The rooms were good as they had their own bathroom attached. Lockers were provided and worked properly. Things were pretty safe and secure. Only downside - no air con., and although it was very near a station, it was a bit farther away from things. And a bit confusing trying to find your way back, even from the station because it had like 5 streets that all looked the same.

it was good to meet people there especially i was travelling alone and i had no plan on the first day that i arrived. I shared a room with a few people and we started to talk to each other. in the end, we chilled out and had a lot of fun.
